  • My husband made 100k last year, but we're maxed out with the house payment and other basic living expenses-including school lunches. In my district, I am happy to see that half of their hot lunch is healthy. It makes up for spending $2.50 a day per child.

  • I would like to agree Lawrence, on principle that kids have too much to do after school. However, lots of studies show that kids who engage in extra-curricular activities have a lower incidence of drug use and teen sex/pregnancy.

  • My daughter is currently defending the right of people to say what they choose, but that doesn't make what you choose to say right. Some of the comments made about this story sound like they are being said by animals, not by people who were raised with American values.
